The Watcher is appalled that the police force in Gtr Manchester have let this happen. The world & his dog knew it was spreading & would kick off in Salford & Manchester. Questions must be asked of the GMP as to why they were so under prepared. The scum must be thinking they can do this type of thing anytime they want.

Does the watcher think the rest of gtr manchester should have been left unguarded to stop these particular crimes?.

Or was it that the GMP Police were guarding London?

That is something that has annoyed me, but that is hardly the fault of your average bobby who is sticking their body on the line to protect the city.

They interviewed a young masked hooded lad wearing sunglasses at teatime yesterday in Manchester,when asked why he was hiding his identity he said so that he wouldn't get picked up on CCTV ,but if your a law abiding citizen that won't matter said the reporter ,but i'm not law abiding he said and that he was doing it to get back at the police and because they could do want they like and there's nothing that can be done about it .I don't have any sympathy at all for the young kids that are doing this ,they are just opportunist who don't give a damn about anybody else ,when I was growing up I had nothing but never once thought about stealing .

There are loads of GMP left, there are also police from Wales, Cheshire, Merseyside, Cumbria, humberside & Lancashire in Manchester last night so i'd say no!

quite right Fred,the french have the dreaded CRS which is a paramilitary style police based riot squad - the average french citizen is s**t scared of getting involved with them as they don't mess about ! They live in barracks,usually far from their home towns and are called upon whenever there is any trouble with the french unions (policing picket lines etc) or general rioting but mostly nowadays used on the inner city estates to break up fights between gangs etc

Many gangs actually call/provoke attacks from the CRS to test their metal ! it's seen as an act of bravado to take on the 'poules' (chickens = 'pigs' in english)

It's not just kids and youths with no employment opportunities. A primary school teaching assistant has been mentioned, and I heard of an accounts clerk, and several other employed people. That makes them the biggest scumbags of all in my eyes ....
