The problem is now that everyone knows we will never get to SL. Even if we were good enough, the RL would never allow us in as long as there was still a team in France, Wales, Ireland or wherever that isn't in SL. I say this not as a protest against expansion, but as fact. And without the SL dream we will never get fans back again. How many did we take to Widnes when we beat Whitehaven to get promotion? 7000?? We'll never get that again unless we somehow have a real chance of promotion. As long as we have a franchise system, we will never get in SL, and everyone knows it.

get them down supporting the team, without fans we won't be accepted into SL for sure.

I'd agree and have plenty mates who think the same. To be honest though, not going to watch a good Leigh team becuase we won't get a frachise is just another one of a long list of excuses.



I'd sooner watch a good team in the Champrionship than a battered team in Super League.



Somewhere in between is a solution.



The biggest ones for me are getting folk who already go to fetch a mate (theres 2000 of us who could make an effort to bring someone along) and filling the place with kids and families who ordinarly would be doing something else instead.

a bill board on the bypass for out next game is a great idea! the flyers on a car could be a bad one though, its so annoying when you go back to your car and somebodys put leaflets under your wipers!



the club should go all out and promote the next two home games! buy a fev ticket, get the widnes ticket at a reduction price.



even something like kids under 12 get free enterance

Get one of those temporary stalls in the precinct. Buy some Leigh merchandise - cups, pens, car stickers, flags, slippers, cushions, caps.....latest ticketing offers etc and all the information for the upcoming games.....simples.

give away freebies on what is potentially the biggest gate of the season? thats not marketing thats financial suicide.

Not disagreeing with you Fred, but playing Devils advocate - do you go for a quick death or slow asphyxiation?

does the club sell this kind of merchandise at the moment?

I have seen cups in the ticket office when i have been picking tickets up, pens as well i think, don't know about the other stuff though.

Seriously, the club need to start playing on Friday or Saturday evenings. People have so many other options on a Sunday. I don't understand why we haven't tried this, or why the club haven't even asked the question if it's what the fans want. Unless we try it we'll never know if it works.

I'll say it again.....get a family ticket priced up......one that familys can afford,nearly 50 quid to watch a sport with no promotion when a family can go to the pictures for 20 quid...you do the maths????



And that is pure and simply the reason we get so few walk up crowd
