Saints should have focused more on their youth system like Warrington have done rather than signing guys like Lance Hohaia.



GOB is not even good enough for us and yet he goes straight in to the Saints first team, where are your other home grown players knocking on the door?



The successful clubs are those that invest in young talent and bringing through their own players and until Saints wake up to that fact they will remain struggling. You can't just hope to buy in success.

There's only so much the poor lad can do with the quality of players around him at Saints.

Wigan's thuggery got them nowhere tonight, and their lack of quality in the centres will have had all of the top sides licking their lips.

Shoulder charge is a penalty but to the head is deemed a sending off offence, see Sam Moa Hull v London.

In the end, it did contribute to Wigan having a man sent to the bin, which lead to Saints winning the game, so justice done. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get a ban for that.

Yes, but the injury to GOB meant that Saints were lacking a kicker and could easily have lost. Sending off for me.

I think it was a sending off too. Just wanted to make the point, that in the end it didn't cost Saints. It often does, when the ref cops out and just puts an incident on report, and fails to make a decision when he's clearly seen it.

I think the games going a bit soft. The shoulder charge should be part of the game, Briers on Farrel was great to watch the other week. Late and high shoulder charges were and always should be foul play. An over heavy and late - like this one tonight - (although some occur when you cant stop yourself) shoulder charge should be a sin bin, a head shot with the shoulder should be a red card.



Not excusing that tackle on Gaz, though. It was an un-needed over-heavy late shoulder that smashed O'B when his body had relaxed. Very poor tackle but a sin bin for me.

You really do need to go away and reassess what the definition of a shoulder charge is.

He kicked well, you haven't got a goal kicker without him, as was demonstrated when he left the field. You should never have let Foster go.

Wigan were crying out for an old head in that pack tonight and some experience in the halves to steer them to victory against what was, when all is said and done, a pretty poor Saints team.

Some experience in the halves? Smith has played in a Grand Final and played SL for about 5 years, Green spent four years in the NRL and another three in Super League. Saints are very average, the table doesn't lie. Wigan are no better, they just have Tomkins.

Agree with that Sad-end, except I believe Lockers is underrated by most who don't support Wigan. Perhaps not the best player in the world as they would have you believe, but very very good all the same, and as important as Tomkins IMO.

He has just done the basics with the ball since he's been here. Seems steady, and I would look at him for next season too if we do not find a 6.



Had an ok game tonight, it was 100x better than how he did vs Hull KR. He ended up being substituted for Lance Hohaia. The embarrassment!

As a Warrington player I can see why he would try harder tonight than against lower opposition, master stroke by TS. Send your players out to play for Warrington even when Warrington aren't playing. Genius!
