South is always south whichever way you are looking. Do you mean left to right/right to left?

not if you live abroad you would be lookin from a different direction i know south is always south !lookin south it went right to left last night right to left earlier tonight and i believe right to left ie west to east

well, i thought i saw it, coming from the town centre/widnes (sort of) direction, bright white light, moving faster than a plane and it dimmed and disapeared , middle of the sky, not near the horizon, as i was packing up my camp chair and tartan blanket, a a bright orange light, also moving swiftly started going in the opposite direction.

Saw both of them, the first one that came from west to east and disapearred in the middle of the sky I reckon must have been a shooting star (or a UFO), and like you say, the ISS appeared just after

Watched west to east stood in my front garden, poeple looking at me a bit oddly, watched the bright light pass, then went indoors assuming that was it.

No, think that was a shooting star. Just after that the ISS came from the other direction, an orange light travelled all the way across the sky
