where has this info come from. I feel Pickersgill is a very good player and hasn't had his chances at wire, might be good for him as a player, but would be sorry to see him go...............

Can't imagine any other Super League clubs would want him, wish him well at Widnes or whichever NL1 club he joins.

From a promising start he has gone backward & a chance to go out on loan would do him good. Might help him to recapture some form.

He was actually aproached by saints at the end of 2006.

Think he will do well on loan..... give him a better chance to shine.

So when people say they would rather we had a policy of giving home grown players a chance, who do they mean? Do they mean the fantasy home grown players they have in their head, who they haven't actually seen play? Or do they mean actual home grown players who have played in Super League for us?

I agree. He's not had much chance to prove himself in the first team. I thought he has looked good when he played. Seemed willing to offload which is a good sign in a young forward. Big hitter as well.
