| Quote Tin Soldier="Tin Soldier"Briers and Myler....'"
A bit O/T but that would have been a combination and a half
TONY Myler and Lee Briers
I know he played for Widnes but what a quality stand off he was and with Briers putting him through the gaps.

| Sinfield did for England what Monaghan did for us in the semi final vs Wigan. Very clever play from acting half.

| My sole concern about Myler is that for a young lad he seems to lack a yard of pace ...

now you see, a week ago, that would've impressed me a bit, however having watched england at the weekend and having seen a second rower leaving mcguire in his trail, sort of ruins that point.

| Quote deeHell="deeHell"Myler, Why?????
In front of Eastmond, Brough and Burrows? If Myler plays it will be a joke selection. He had not played since July prior to the 4 nations. You can count on one hand the amount of good games he has had at the top level.
In fact I do know why, it's because he has signed for Warrington. Tony Smith looking after the Warrington investment. Tony Smith = corrupt!....Fact!'"
Why would Smith give a about picking Warrington players for England?
Surely when Big Martin Offiah came to negotiate his contract he started going blah blah my client is an international Test star pay him this and that. If Smith had wanted to he could have pulled the line of "well he's not the finished article yet" and left him in the international wilderness to keep his wages down at Warrington.
Also why risk a player getting injured, surely would be far better to pick Leon Pryce and let him get tramped on by the Aussies while Myler is getting himself fit for us.....

| To beat the kiwis something has to change, Danny McGuire just isn`t cutting it at international level and you can`t carry any passengers in the pivots at this level.
Before the tournament started i stated that we looked weak in the centres, half backs (Tomkins aside) and at hooker, personally i would go with this line up for saturday given the fact that Kevin Sinfield has been one of our best organisers so far and that Tomkins has caused problems to one of the best sides in the world.
Its not the side i would choose from all the avilable players in England, its based on whats in the squad.
1. S Briscoe
2. L Smith
3. M Shenton (Has played right centre at Cas in the past)
4. K Eastmond (played left centre well at saints)
5. R Hall
6. K Sinfield (We need some sort of organistaion, Sinfield can switch to 9)
7. S Tomkins
8. J Graham
9. J Roby (Not ideal given his recent form)
10. J Peacock
11. B Westwood (simply for work rate, not many other options)
12. G Ellis
13. S Burgess
14. ?????
15. A Morley
16. E Crabtree
17. ?????

Thats something you should be asking Tony Smith and ask him why he picked Roby for the 4 nations ahead of Diskin given his form this season and in the warm up games.
I wouldn`t have Roby in an english team at the min on form but if you watched Scott Moore in the challenge cup final i certainly wouldn`t start him either, the Giants looked far more dangerous when Lunt was on the pitch. I put Roby in because you can switch Sinfield later if Roby is his usual self, its picking from whats available and from what Tony Smith picked as his 4 nations squad.
