Who is Saints fourth prop?

Perry will miss the first four or five games of the season.

They have released four props and signed two, so how are they stronger than last season?

I'd expect Clough. I'll ask a saints fan.

Why is perry gonna miss them games? same injury?

I'd say Wigan's pack is the best overall, and with Hock to come back mid-season it looks very impressive, with our pack, Saints not far behind. Then theres Hull KR and Huddersfield who have both added well to there pack, theres going to be some big forward battles next season.....can't wait.

Do you not think Lima and Hoffman,might take abit of time to settle in?

Saints will have the best first choice pack IMO, with Wigan the most depth. Saints' front row is certainly the strongest with Graham/Perry/Roby starting and TP/LMS/Moore coming off the bench.

Rogues, I'm not sure how you can argue Saints' props aren't stronger than last season - yes we released 4 but one wasn't even being considered for selection when fit (Fozzard) and one was a shadow of his former self, barely playing through injuries (Mauire).

2010 - Graham/Hargreaves/Emmitt/TP/Clough

2011 - Graham/Perry/LMS/TP/Clough



No comparison.

But you are effectively naming two players in Clough and Puletua as props when they played the majority of their games in the back row last season.

Paul Clough played most of his games in 2010 off the bench as a prop and is no longer a back rower.



We've swapped Hargreaves and Emmitt (two plodders) for Perry and LMS (two internationals), got rid of Fozzard who couldn't get a game and Maurie whose body was falling apart and turned Clough into a top quality prop (check out his stats against, say, Andy Coley who had a big season for Wigan in 2010).



Saints are far stronger in the pack for 2011; finally Graham will have some genuine quality support in the front row.

But if you play Soliola and Flannery in the back row then who is going to play in your centres? Meli? Wheeler? One of those at least will be in the centres.
