Widnes three weeks ago!
Awesome performance tonight, scored some great tries. London's forwards were decent, they were just awful with ball in hand when trying to create something. Some of their attacking play, or lack thereof, was reminiscent of ours from the last three years at times.
Really glad that Moon's back, he looks dangerous almost every time he touches the ball and he showed his class yet again with his passing.
You know it's your night when Feka scores try straight from dummy half at 10 metres out. Continues to improve every week, so glad the pre-season rumours were wrong about us getting rid of him.

| Thought Howarth was unlucky not to be man of the match tonight, he was immense in attack especially. Not sure I've seen a better passer from dummy half at salford in all the years I've watched them - maybe Peter Edwards??
Owen brings some real pace when he comes on and the pack really stepped up again tonight - Jewitt, Feka, McPhearson, Boyle all did well. Thought it was one of Wilde's best performances and I'm a big fan of his and Jordan James showed some real pace and power and an passing game I didn't know he had! And that's before we even start with the backs....

| the next two games will be the test of how far we have come, win them and boy we are half way to the play offs. I can't remember when we had a positive points difference after 5 games, but we are getting there.

| Quote Horatio Yed="Horatio Yed"How much of this Salford revival would the fans attribute to Long?[/quot
The strangest thing is, is that for the 1st time in a long time it actually seems that we have a game plan. I think Vievers & Long compliment each other so well. Long seems to have been given a free license to get the attack into shape and you can tell from the way we move the ball that he has been very influential. The defence also seems to be much improved, man on man tackles are being made rather missed and our sliding defence is looking solid where in the past it's been non existent.
There's still a long way to go but you the signs are promising. Were finally taking advantage of other teams weaknesses. London had a much better pack than us so what do we do? Move the ball out wide at pace and expose their edges. Fantastic game and it's brilliant to come away being disappointed we didn't put 50+ past a team.

| Thought tonight that Patten was head and shoulders above a Salford player, every time we went forward the link included him and I was astounded he didn't get MOM.
Moon going to be a legend, hands like i've not seen in many a year.
The pack were immense, JJ looked like a different player than what everyone was expecting and Feka again looked hungy for the ball and work rather than pies.
A slight down side for me we still need a place kicker and penalty tacker who we can rely on more than DJ, too late this season but a definate investment needs to be made, Wes Naiqama (sorry tipsy and not the best of speller) would do an absolute treat for me.

| Did anyone see what happened to Gibson ? taken off after 20 odd minutes , and didn't come back on ,
Wild dropped back into centres with moon and we had Nero & Gleeson on the wings.
Hope we haven't lost yet another back to injury !
Patten's weaving run in open play for the opening try was worth the admisson on it's own.
two tough games coming up though but full credit to the all players tonight , it was difficult to single out any individual . so they all deserve the plaudits

| Great team spirit was again visibly evident tonight. Our attack at present is the best i've seen in many years watching Salford, thank god no more safety first 'one man rugby' and asking no big questions of our opponents. If the players can Keep this huge effort up Salford will go places. Every player seems to be putting in a huge effort and pulling in the right direction at the moment. Personally i think this squad of players is just starting to realise how much quality they have when they play for each other.
It will be tough in the next couple of games but I really hope this new found attacking confidence, resolute defence, effort and team spirit will not be lost with complacency after a good run

| Fantastic game last night from the lads. I think the team spirit is amazing. Patten had a brilliant game and was definitely MOM for me. I think Wild had some great runs too. It was also great to see how much the lads were up for it. Smith's reaction to his try showed how much it meant and Holdsworth looked excited too. Even though we were 44-12 up we were still watching our positions for kick offs and keeping our concentration.
I'm so proud of the way we've improved our game and love that fact that we keep building on this each week. We've looked at our faults from previous games and have actually worked on it and the results show!
Actually, can anyone recall the last time we won 3 games in a row during Super League, if ever?
Well done Salford. Keep this going!!

| Agree with all above posts, memories of the 70s
Thought the referee was trying to get his pools forecast right, the number of times he penalised us in our 20, he worked hard to get London to score.
Does anyone know the penalty count in the last 20 minutes ?

| RRD, think Sky Sports said it was 2006 when we last won 3 in a row. It's a bl00dy great feeling getting up with a warm glow (no that's not a euphemism!) after a performance like that. We're not a team with big names but that'll do me fine. Every single player looks like they want to die for the shirt & as a fan, that's all I ask for. We've got players in that team who weren't first choice at their previous clubs but they obviously want to repay the faith we've shown in them to give them the opportunity to play. The competition for places seems to have inspired some of our underperformers and we look like a completely different team to the shower of e wecwatched under McRae. The fact that we've had so many injuries but still produced some outstanding performances speaks volumes for the team & coaching staff. PV gives me the impression that he won't stand for excuses (injuries/weather/refs etc) & that's how it should be.
Seriously, I could go on all day, waxing lyrical about the team. I'm proud of every single Reds player on that pitch last night but an extra special mention has to go to Luke Patten. Ok, he's no Gary Broadbent defensively but as an attacking weapon I'm struggling to think of any better fullback (bar Tomkins) in SL at the moment.
And the best thing about last night? I get to go into work on Monday & shove it right up the Wigan & Wire fans that tipped us for the wooden spoon!
Now back to reality! With Catalans, Leeds & Wigan coming up we've got a tough month or so. I'm not expecting miracles against likely top 4 finishers but I hope the lads take the confidence they've built up into these games & compete for the full 80. And as fans let's have some perspective. Let's enjoy the current run & milk it while it lasts but let's not jump straight on the players backs if we do lose a few matches which, let's face it, we're not expected to win.
Alles les Diables Rouges!!!
