Although I've been a Reds season ticket holder for a few seasons now I always miss maybe a couple of home games as my first priority is Salford City Football club. On those rare occasions I passed my season ticket onto one of my sons mates so that someone who normally doesn't go to RL games could have the opportunity of doing so at no cost. Does the fact that you need to have a photo id card - assuming this isn't a wind up - mean that when I can't get to a game that no one else will be able to use my season ticket because their photo isn't on it?

I'm not 100% on this, but from what I've heard a season ticket can be transfered if you can't attend, but a pay-as-you-go membership can't.

That’s right. In essence, as season ticket admission has already been paid for, the owner has passed the right of entry on to somebody else. This doesn’t apply for PAYG memberships as you haven’t paid upfront — the ID has to correspond with the cardholder.

I'd also like to retract my earlier comments regarding the new away shirt. Having seen it in the flesh, so to speak, it really does look smart.

I was thinking that myself why waste x amount of pounds on a machine at around 20 turnstyles doesnt make sense when your meant to be moving in 2011.

They use these at wigan, but if you noticed they use them for match tickets at leeds with no turnstyle operaters so there is nothing stoping you buying a conc ticket.

20 turnstyles is a bit of an exaggeration - there will probably be at best half this number for ticket holders plus others for cash. There is also no reason why any new machinery inistalled couldn't be taken to the new stadium.

went to purchases my season ticket the other day to find out... i had to pay 50 pound on top of my 130 for my season..

the reason was because i had to pay fr a membership in order to purchases a season ticket..

ive never heard of anything like it in my life... is it me or do other people feel like there being ripped of by a club we love and follow no matter what happens season after season and to find out it is cheaper to get a warrington or wigan season ticket to watch the like of sam tomkins and matt king is beyond me

I can't believe no-one else has mentioned it before now.

Wigan's cheapest season ticket is £181; Wire's cheapest is £171.



Neither come with a free away shirt or free Magic weekend ticket.
