What is the point of a sports club ?

No it is to play sport , and generally ( apart from the very junior levels ) to win and to progress to playing against better opposition

But that doesn't matter because we have a salary cap and all only have a certain amount we can spend. Is that bull?

Is that bull? This the case in all other sports.

The only question I have is; will the team promoted bring more than the team relegated offers. If they do the great it is strengthening SL. If they are the same or offer less than what is the point?

The point is, it gives the Clubs & supporters in the lower leagues the aspiration to get to the top.



If that’s taken away, those clubs would wither & die.

The only club that <i>can</i> lose their licence for 2012-15 is Widnes. They're the only club with a licence for that period. They won't and shouldn't lose that.



Of the 15 clubs which don't have licences for 2012-15 but are bidding for the 13 which will be awarded this summer: the clubs that should be unsuccessful are the two with the weakest bids.
