Quote wire-quin="wire-quin"GF have you applied for the role?'"
After Paul Brown had to step down due to illness and prior to Paul BLanchard joining Quins I applied directly to Ian Lenegan with regard to the
Marketing Role. My application was warmly received and was passed to the Recruitment/Headhunter company used by the club.........and that was the last I heard of the recruitment company?. IL then emailed me a couple of times and I met with the RFL to discuss the corporate sales role at Quins, but there was an difference of scales of salary
As an experiment (I am in no way qualified to run a business) I applied for the CEO role that was eventually watered down to GM which PB was apointed. This I did solely through the Head hunter/recruitment firm (why do they use these types of people?) and received nothing, not even an email confirming receipt of my CV.
Regardless of what you think of me or my stance regarding Quins RL as a business, I will still assertain that I was described by the RFL as "just the sort of person Quins needed to drive marketing and attendances"........but maybe my vigour, passion and straight forwardness was a tad to OTT for some.
I would expect that the Marketing Manager at Quins will be next to go, as she would seem to follow PB around.......and we will be back where we were in 2006.....I am not saying I would have done any better by the way,.......but I would have given blood trying!
Still, as you say, I have a Cake Tin to fill and a second NZ NRL Franchise to fight for (amongst all the other boring stuff I get to do over here)...and I will have to content myself from watching the farce unravel from the other side of the world.
