| Quote JB Down Under="JB Down Under"possibly more a visa issue than anything to do with the quota?'"
That's what I thought it was for.
Quote JB Down Under="inside_man"Your allowed 5 quota players, and your allowed 5 non-fed trained players.
When all of the exemptions are out of the way, it will go down to just 5 non-fed trained players, that's the aim'"
No, please grasp this quickly to save me having to write it again. You're allowed a total of 5 overseas players consisting of quota players/non-fed players. No more. That is the limit. Otherwise, why do you think people are doing so much whinging over Hull KR's amount of overseas players?

| While I am pleased that my club has signed such a high profile marque signing its also tinged with a bit of disappointment with us going down an exemption route. I have always believed that your status should be linked to WHERE you played your first professional game.

But that doesn't necessarily always work. Look at Andy Henderson - born in Torquay, Scottish heritage but started his career in Australia so counts as non-federation or what have you.

I think Gareth Widdop would also count on the quota under those rules, if he ever decides to come back over to the UK.

Not sure considering he started his career at Halifax. Might be able to get an exemption through having a British passport - I presume he still has one?

Are you suggesting that the Premier League and Super League are in similar states? One is massively popular across the entire country with several teams who regularly get over 40,000 crowds and massive TV deals.
One is popular across the M62 with only 4 teams who can average over 10,000, several teams in financial disarray with little hope for improvement and an average TV deal.
The Premier League can quite easily sustain itself with a poor national side. Super League needs a national side to spread exposure of the sport across the country and increase both crowds and TV deals.

fine forget the international game. Hull KR are currently removing the opportunity for young British RL players to get the schooling they need to make a career out of the game. They are failling to offer the opportunities that befit an SL club. They are failling in their role as part of the top tier of RL pyramid.
