I actually can't understand how you can love one code of rugby and hate the other.

The 15 man code is the work of satan himself. Players like Jonny Wilkinson will steal your children whilst Martin Johnson (Lucifer to anyone 'oooop north) will force you to wear a Leicester tigers jersey and have a XV branded on your scalp just to go to the shops for an eccles cake and a pint of warm flat tetleys bitter

If you find out about the history of the games and how [size=85RU[/size treated people who played the gameof RUGBY LEAGUE , wanted to play the game of RUGBY LEAGUE, play RUGBY LEAGUE on a field and find it covered with glass etc then perhaps you may understand why league folk have little time for [size=85union[/size.



Plus the most important reason!!!!



RUGBY LEAGUE is a far superior game to play and watch than [size=85union[/size

Renaming things up north really doesn’t go down well. From experience I’ve come across some old Leeds RLFC fans that shudder when I say Rhinos. Dropping Rugby from Rugby League would just stretch the health services up here too much.

At last Barry you are beginning to realise the dangers of the union.

I have always said that union was the work of Satan and the game of RL came about through an exorcism.

Try telling that to your fellow season ticket holders down at Northampton Saints

They're more reason to hate the people that run or associate with the game, rather than the game itself.





And they aren't reasons to hate the game either. RL is a far superior game to play and watch than all sports IMO, which is why I love it. But it doesn't stop me liking other sports.



The reason why I can't stand union is because it's boring, slow, ridiculously complicated for the sake of being complicated rather than any kind of entertainment reason, and nothing really happens.

Not strictly true, but hey ho.....

the difference for me is simple - League is entertaining at any level from schoolboy up to international because the rules & make up of the game allows it but in Union I only find the top level having any entertainment level.Get below the top level then the game is stop-start because the rules don't allow for sub-standard union leagues.

League flows at the same rate more or less at whichever level you watch it IMO.

Never had the chance to play League unfortunately being from rural norfolk but did play a bit of Union which was mega-boring...
