"From what I heard in an article once the Turks just love our game". Do they? How many Turks are playing RL in Turkey? A quick search on Google failed to find anything about Turkey and Rugby League (except for Scarlet Turkey!). The article you read was about AFL it would seem (Google brought that up in the search).



I appreciate the fact that there is a relevance to ANZAC Day in Turkey, but your reasons for just plonking any old random game there are ridiculous! There is pretty much no interest in Turkey. And what having "world class stadiums that hold over 80,000 people" has to do with anything is beyond me. It's not really a reason to have it. USA, Brazil, Egypt, Hong Kong, Russia, Ukraine, Ireland, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Peru, India, North Korea, Japan, Mexico, Iran, South Africa, Indonesia and China just to name a few (not to mention Aus and UK!) all have 80k+ stadiums.

And actually, Turkey doesn't have world class stadiums that hold over 80,000 people. They have one that holds 76k, which would make my list mentioned before about 3 times as big! Not that it matters, because plonking a random game there is hardly going to sell out an 80k stadium, is it?





Honestly, ask yourself - do you really think the game you are suggesting would attract a decent crowd in Turkey?
