The reason KR will be able to have Mason with him being non-quota, but non-fed trained is because they'll have a quota player that was here before the new rules came in, so he'll be classed as Fed-trained also. Therefore they would have had (an example, not actually calculated) 5 quota players, and 4 non-fed trained players.



Phil Bailey was an example at Wigan, he was on the quota but counted as fed-trained as he was here before the new rules.

From what I know, KR's quota will consist of:



Green, Dobson, Webster, Mason and Clinton. Vella, Galea, Fisher, Newton, Lovegrove all don't count AFAIK or may be Webster off and one of the others on. Either way that's pretty much it.

Vella, Fisher, Lovegrove and Newton don't count towards the quota.

Due to exemptions.

But in 2011 you are allowed five overseas players quota or non fed.



The players who have received dispensation are classed as fed trained. The restquota or non quota are non fed trained.

There's still the stipulation of only 5 "quota players" as well.



You can be a quota player but still be fed-trained, just as you can be non-quota but non-fed trained.

But Vella, Newton, Lovegrove and Fisher would all have been classed as non-quota due to passports previously I belive (Vella-maltese, Newton-UK, Lovegrove-UK, Fisher-UK).
