The fact is though we have an additional 1.3 million to spend on the salary cap, 2 maybe 3 of those players who played tonight will be at the club next year. Get a grip, move on. We will be in SL, you wont. Just wait and see what side we have i think you wont be saying much then.

But surely when Widnes take their place in SL they will be a totally different side, a side packed full of Aussie journeymen including the left overs from whichever team gets the boot from SL?

Well it cant be Wakey that go down then with all the English youngsters, you must have inside information and know that one of the Hull teams are leaving SL

Widnes have an excellent yoof policy. I imagine they'll be using the majority of these in SL. This is because there is no relegation and therefore there isn't the urgency to go out and get the quick fix Aussie journeymen and the fact is it's in the criteria for that very reason. So that's what they'll be doing - playing their youngsters.

Wakeytom, I'll sleep a lot better knowing that we targeted Darren Lockyer and not Ben Jeffries or Jeremy Smith. Both outstanding young British half-backs right there.

well lets face it, they're in now so dont need to try and tick anymore boxes.....they could play 17 kids every week now it wouldn't matter !

If you watched Boots n all last week you would have heard SOC referring to the factt he wants to bring in some big name experienced players to aid the improvement of our youngsters. We have 5 under 18s at the moment who within the next 3 years will be superstars in SL imo.

You see, what Wakey fans don't realise is that one of the major criteria for Super League is how thick a clubs' fans are. Wakefield will be demoted on this point alone.

Needs and must come to mind, and I hate seeing us play them as well, I would much rather see is with Broughy back in the side, but what happened there is a story for another day. We have a higher percentage of English players in the team week in week out than most teams, and with an average age something like 22-23 that cant be bad!
