Replaced with another "will try hard, but ultimately will fall" coach in McDermott.. Can't fault his efforts, but just can't see him handling the pressure that'll be on him. He is a very good assistant coach and undoubtably knows the game well..I just think his best position is on the training field...not handling media interviews, signing players and the other roles Head Coach will require. Still, maybe I'll be wrong..good luck to him, I was sad to see him leave Quins.

Hes taken Smiths team and inherited that though. Blame injuries all you like but Leeds were poor this year, in ALL their big games. Leeds have gone from playing a very attractive brand of rugby to a niggly penalty machine over the course of about 2 years: a slow transition but they're going backwards.
EASILY the best squad in the league last year, they fell way, way short and would have done again if McLennan was in charge.
