Both paying over the odds for the players?
Really don't know, but the current crowds, and decreasing, aint gonna be able to pay top dollar. |

Over-relaince on signed talent and not enough youth?
Perhaps the end of a golden era?
Perhaps Elliot and Smith were significantly ahead of Noble and McNamara in terms of coaching ability? |
