TBH, if we're going to have Herbert and Briggs back by the end of next month, there's not a huge point in going for a new player. Any new player that comes in now, will take longer to settle into the side as just about everyone else has been with the squad for the last 3/4 months. If it was a prop, or maybe a centre/wing then yeah, you could pretty much drop them into the side. But bringing in someone who's in charge of organising the side and leading them round the park? That's a tough ask as they won't really know their team mates, they won't know the calls, so it'll take them maybe a month to get up to speed. By which time we should have Herbert and Briggs fit and ready

I don't think one being injured is an issue. When Kearney plays alongside a proper half, he does a good job there. It's just when he's playing alongside another "makeshift" half that he struggles a little as he appears to have too much to do.



If one of Herbert or Briggs could play at 7 with Kearney at 6, I think that would be fine. The real problems arise when both Herb and Briggs are out, which is just bad luck and what we have now.

not what he was...like a martin gleeson...good in his time but now lost it.....and has had some psychological problems....left training with parra without saying anything...NOT the type of player we need...and we have plenty of and 2nd rowers...would be a waste of a Q spot

We have plenty of centres but not many with pace & who can also defend. If he came to SL i would say he would be the best centre in the competition

Tahu would be a quality signing, it would also allow Chev Walker to play in the 2nd row. Not many Test and Origin players become available.
