) and a mysterious thread on here suggesting interesting goings on that have had some kind of impact but clearly no-one is saying exactly what.

Years ago the club had their own message board and there were no independent Saint boards of any merit at all. The club rather than appoint voluntary moderators shut their forums down.

The immediate response was the formation of independant fan run sites and unregulated forums.



Over the years the likes of RLfans prospered into a psuedo commerical operation, and with it has come more responsibility and therefore more regulation.



I can understand to some extent why Doogal and the other mods have stamped down hard today.

Some of these guys in the past have received legal summons from lawyers, and having something like that land on your doorstep can sober up even the most liberal minded individual. Especially if you then have to spend £100's of pounds on a lawyer as a result, all because someone created an identity, made an unfounded alligation, then scurried off into anonymity never to be seen or heard from again.

Relax, people are reading far too much into things.



Redvee will return next week (hopefully Monday) once some technical issues are sorted for the site. Everytime the site goes down, people are automatically assuming the worst.

These sites are fans sites.

I've took a lot of stick over the years (totally unjustified of course

) on a few of them.



However, it's about opinions, and we should be allowed free speech.

Obviously there has to be some form of moderation with regard to libel etc, but it does seem to me that some of the messageboards seem to be ruled by the clubs.



Surely this is wrong.



In other words "you may not agree with what I say, but please don't deny my rite to say it"

I think it's because at one time Redvee was far more stable than Rlfans, which dropped off every other day.



It was more a surprise that this place was up rather than down at one point

What's going on?

There was ANOTHER attempted coup of the St Helens RLFC boardroom by the redvee.net users. After fighting off the hordes of revolutionists, the club has issued a fatwah against it's moderators and users and vowed to behead anyone found visiting said site.



There has been a cover up performed on here, blaming technical issues, but I don't believe them.
