Lomax will be Saints full back in the future, not the scrum half
in my humble opinion

| Quote Judder Man="Judder Man"Leave that one for Mr Simmons, I,m a bit dissapointed with Wilkin past couple of seasons, I know he's had a rough time with injuries, but I was expecting him to go up a level and play to a couple of notches within Sculthorpes Standard. For me Wilkin would be a bench player, just think Pyrce would be a dangerous player operating from 13.'"
It's well known I'm not Wilkins biggest fan but if Pryce was to play then we might as well get shut of wilkin as he's not a bench type player ( no impact) and has failed as a 2nd row for the last 4 years.

That would be a travesty. Biggest waste of talent Saints could make.

| I wonder if Saints are preparing us for announcing that Graham is going by making todays announcement that we have signed Lance for next season, just to soften the blow.

He has an excellent tackling technique, safe under the high ball and has the speed and eye for a gap to link up with the backs in attack. For me he was wasted in the centre and has come into his own since moving to scrum half, but long term i can only see him at full back when Wello finishes.

I think Saints are playing it cool, the more time he spends on the physio's table, the lower his next contract becomes. And re-signing him now before he proves his fitness cold be a disaster. Remeber the golden rule, "he who holds the gold, makes the rule". Right now, the club are holding all of the gold.

AND they've got a guy coming in who could do exactly his job if needed, which will keep his demands in check.
FWIW, my automatic reaction to Hohaia signing was that Leon was a gonner.

Utter, utter nonsense.
You watch a vastly different game of RL to me. I see a player who tackles himself to a standstill, busts tackles, scores tries and creates.
There are very few back rowers in SL better than Jon Wilkin IMO.
Would you say Ben Westwood failed for Wire in the second row last year? Would seem strange given he was their player of the year. Per game played in 2010 Wilkin carried the ball more, tackled more, bust more tackles, made more clean breaks, missed fewer tackles, scored more tries and created more.
Might be worth watching some games with your eyes open and actually acknowledging the enormous amount of good work Wilkin does for Saints.

| Just a thought on a replacement for Graham. I've been reading the Lance thread on the Leeds pages, which is almost as long as this one. There is an experienced prop from Leeds who maybe up for grabs for next year. And an England Captain to boot.
If we offer early maybe we could tempt Peacock. He's older than Graham but could be worth a punt although injured at the moment.
But he would not be the first aged prop who has been a hit at Saints. (Anderson)
