Leeds do not need Chase and he is not that great. A fully fit McGuire any day. Brough or Dobson for me.

Chase is a great little player. If he were available and Leeds were not interested, plenty of other ambitious clubs would be.

I'm sure most clubs in Super League are interested in him. In how many cases that turns into any serious attempt to secure his services is another question.



It sounds like he might well be staying put anyway.

Chase is very tidy with the ball, and equally bad without it. We shoudln't be looking to trade Burrow in, we should be looking to adjust the style we play to suit the players we have. In the past we have played a "bump and offload" game which was suited to the pace we could offload to in McGuire, Burrow and Webb. All three are now slower than they were in their younger days (McGuire and Webb moreso than Burrow) so we need to adjust the gameplan to suit.



If you dropped Chase into the current Leeds structure he would look crap, so no surprise that we have looked "short" (no pun intended) at halfback this season.

There are those who think [ilittle[/i of him.

What current Leeds structure?

Indeed. Chase won't alter that.

Chase makes thing happen with ball in hand, he's prepared to take the ball to the line and take defenders on and has a good short kicking game in the attacking zones, creating opportunities, building pressure through repeat sets. I'd suggest he would bring to Leeds some of what they are sadly currently lacking at half-back.



Whether Sinfield would appreciate his presence however.
