Quote Andy Gilder="Andy Gilder"Hopefully the 2015 World Cup won't be the drawn out, one sided affair this one has been as it's being reduced to ten teams from the current fourteen.
Only one place is going to be open to the associate nations, alongside England, Australia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies and Bangladesh.'"
I think you'll find that there are 10 Test playing nations, so there won't be a place for an Associate side.
I'll leave you to ponder who the 10th nation is.
Another example of completely muddled thinking by the ICC.
The next world cup should include the top 2 associate nations, determined by a tournament as close to the full World Cup as possible.
3 goups of 4, top 2 from each group plus the 2 best 3rd place sides into the knockout stages.
