Overall you can't question what Leeds have done over the last 5 or so years. There have been some odd decisions though (see tvocs list although other smay disagree with some of them), and signing Buderus is one. I just wonder what exactly the thinking was. Looking at the squad, you could have made an argument for signing a backup or impact hooker. I've just never seen the sense in signing a second 60-80 minute hooker.

leicester_rhino - We don't have a mickey mouse management team but if they make the same mistake they did in 2000 then it is unforgivable. At the moment it looks like they have.

I'd have thought that is a naive approach, and this management more than any other would have appreciated that a team is more than the sum of its parts, and having the best parts doesn't always make the best team

I don't understand McShane only getting a few minutes last night, as Diskin was massively disappointing. Would much rather have had Buderus in there. Diskin was one of the senior players last night but failed to stand up.

I would think they approach it like other people In other walks of life. you negotiate a contract and sign it! if the bloke next to you can get more cash then fair play to him you dont go crying to the boss, if you did you would get laughed at. If the players in question do have a problem it will be with their agents not the Leeds club or bedsy. but in reality non of us have a clue what any player is on. It's all pub talk and pipe dreams

I don't think Diskin had such a bad game last night. He was defensively sound compared to most and distributed the ball to those around him who are supposed to be pivotal ballplayers.

I thought disco played well last night! though mcshane did some good things but his passing out of dummy half was very slow, not quite up to the speed of the sl game but more first team action will improve that! didn't think disco did anything wrong really! It was all the dropped ball on the first and second tackle, some with the line begging. the bombed chances: jp, senior, mcshane chip to clarkson, jjb knocking on the bomb with nobody infront of him with support on both shoulders. The poor kicking game, the lack of building pressure near the opposition try line, lack of repeat sets and trying to score of every play near the line. poor set plays with no dummy runners, people stood still getting the ball.
