At the time playing smith in place of hall was possibly the right call.



They were both competing for the wing spot and smith had more experience whereas hall seemed low on confidence.



As it happened webb got injured so they both played in the semi.



Hall did a good job and went on to play and score in the grand final as well, he's never really looked back.

I think Hall is an average (at best) winger and nothing I have seen since I made those comments has persuaded me otherwise. He has the potential to maybe cut it as a centre but as a winger – No.
