I'd stay in Leeds and then travel over to the ground. My suggestion is try the German Christmas market for a beer and some sausage. Then hit town for a few. Also if you google map it go to The Hop under the train station then there is the Midnight Bell and Cross Keys on Water Lane. Its a 20 min walk to the stadium from here

I was meaning as much architecturally as atmosphere, but I still think it a great pub on both fronts. I really like Veritas - as well as others in the chain I use: BarT'at, Arcadia, Coopers - but find them a bit sanitised/characterless. |

The adelphi pub is my crews first stop after a 15 20 min stroll back into town. Nice old school, good beer boozer! If you fancy staying at a nice hotel stay at mal maison.

Have to echo what others have said, stay in town then get a taxi to the ground, you're talking a couple of quid each if there's a few of you!

I don't rate the Scarborough much. Football shirts aren't allowed in the Brewery Tap, but rugby shirts are OK as long as you aren't too rowdy.

its really only on days when leeds united are playing that you arent allowed in with a football shirt on. me and the old man are always in before leeds rhinos games in our shirts and they dont have a problem, they just dont want football thugs in on match days |
