And didn't they beat us in the other version 1st up? That didn't do us too much harm as we went on to win it. TBF today we could have scored 320+ and I always think it's harder chasing under lights than it is in the day. A win is a win though but they will need to improve majorly.

The year we got beaten by Holland we didn't win it (knocked out by the West Indies in a rain affected game if memory serves me correctly) The tournament we won was the one after that. Having said that, whilst we weren't great in the field, we still won fairly comfortably. To me, it always seems like England lower their game for lesser opponents, whereas we could really do with being more ruthless in these types of games.

It's contested at a higher level than the Rugby League World Cup!



Anyone from Australia, India, South Africa, England or Pakistan could win it.



Even New Zealand or Sri Lanka.

That was some match. England should have won, but with the wickets they lost shouldn't have got near in those last 5 overs. 676 run draw in the end. Tense or what!

That was a fantastic game of cricket. You can't help but wonder that when the scores are tied, they should take the number of wickets lost into account...

Time for Colly to be replaced by someone who can get the ball off the square as a batsman. If Broady is fit next match he should come in and play at 8 with Prior and Bresnan moving up one each to cover for Colly's loss. Bresnan is really blossoming as a second all-rounder to Broad. We have a tail that really bats!

despite that being a fantastic game of cricket I cant see the ODI form of the world cup lasting in the long run. The tournament in the WI last time around dragged on for what felt like and probably was months. 20-20 seems to be taking over as the crowd pleasing form of the game and perhaps the 20-20 world cup should replace the current WC format. Im struggling to get too exited about this competition
