Do people feel the need to go around telling the papers they're straight? No, so why do homosexuals feel they are making some big announcement.

I think it was bad for him to have wasted his ex-wife's time and probably no doubt embarrassed her. Put yourself in his shoes though. 10 years ago, being forced into the media spotlight with the pressure of you to conform to 'normality'. With attitudes like they were(are?) would he have really 'come out' at the start of his career and like he said, risk throwing away what he truly loved doing.



Plus doesn't it make a change for young lads who think they may be gay to have a great role model to look up to instead of likes of Graeme Norton for a change?
