i wonder what they will do if we get over 4,000 in tommorow. sounds to me like they are using that as there excuse, just to make them squirm we should turn up in big numbers and force them to use another excuse

The RFL will just add to the rule all member clubs must have had attendances of over 2500 for at least 7 co=operative league games |

If you read my comment i think you will find the answer sherlock.
You are right though this is a site for fans and having only missed a handful of games in the last 25 years you will find that i just about qualify.

Yes the whole things a disgrace but no way am i gonna let those idiots at red hall destroy my passion for my club. All the fans that stay away because of this are missing out on a fax side who are exciting to watch with players who play with pride for the badge and interact with us fans showing just how much it means to them and if we go on to win the grand final the whole town will surely have a feel good factor even if we are in the same league. So lets enjoy what we've got and hope the rfl will finally see sense and wood and lewis will move on.

what happens if a SL side do not make the 2,500 average gate? are they still allowed to make bid for franchise? |

Don't be silly! 
There are so many ambiguous get out clauses in the rules that there is always a way around them. If Kathmandu applied for a SL franchise it would get one under "expansionist" policy and if in their first season they managed an average attendance of 3 men and a yak the RFL would hail it as a resounding success.  |

If promotion and relegation was still in place and we managed to win this years GF what serious chance would we have of staying in superleague beyond one season, let alone calling ourselves the best club in yorkshire or playing in the world club challenge?????
I think I would rather be the best team in the championship until we are ready to go back to play with the big boys. |

What a laugh when I think about it.
So what season do you have to have 2500 all of them, season 1, 2 or 3 of the Franchise years?
So a team have a good season for one year and get good crowds on the back of that and achieve 2500, then the year after the wheels come off and they struggle so the crowds go back down, does it still count???
Oh and do they have the same TARGET for current SL clubs like the original 10,000 when it was set up???
No, yet they should expect 5,000 minimum average gates in SL surely?
But the fat controller and his assistant won't dare do that would they as that would mean having to get rid of London (Harlequins)and Wales (Crusaders) wouldn't it?
I have said it before its do as I say not as I do, the plonkers, wish I could meet the fat controller and tell him he is the most hated man in RL, well at our level anyway. He will not be there forever, one day he will be gone and maybe this stupid Franchise system with him, please God. |
