How about the RFL's own dignity in this, not being able to spot this earlier may influence a very tough stance, or they may be forced to admit that they have also let Batley, Swinton and RL down, either way i expect the registration and checking process to be changed, submitting lists to each other (RFL and Clubs) simply wont do, people that play amateur sport or semi pro know that ID cards have been used in the past, if you dont have a card for certain comps for players, or cant prove their legitimate availability to the referee, they cant play. Does the referee check? I see the only way Halifax can be dealt with kindly is for the RFL to admit they also have issues, its more likely they will try and save face and hammer us though.

Well see soon enough. If we are found guilty i would love to be a fly on the wall while MC and MH once again try to explain 'what went wrong', they have good players, they have used last chance excuses, they have used the training facilities card, patience of fans is being tested to the extreme here. Despite a good squad and good numbers of fans, we are still not where we should be. I know what i think one of the problems is.

In all fairness, this was the only way we were going to lose in the Cup this year.





They changed the rules late last year for the golden point rule and this year they brought in that damn rule about ineligible players. It's like they know we're going to fall foul of it!

You broke the rules, it may have been unintentional but ignorance is no defense. Show the dignity that Swinton have and accept the decision of the governing body, however poor we consider them.

The team sheets seem to be reasonably clear about who played in the two games. Nearly all Fax fans are being dignified about a very difficult issue for the club, but you seem to think you should try and wriggle out of it on any grounds possible.



Don't bother getting all gobby either, I am making a reasonable point.

Please have a look at the Michael Ostick thread where VM clearly states 'it was a joke my fellow champiuonship fans'.

I would absolutely love it if the RFL did ring Fax up and went 'Hi, it's the RFL here, Vikingman has informed us...'

I can't see any point in arguing about who's fault it was [uoutside[/u of the internal workings of the club.



The buck stops with the club.

Might I suggest that we now give this a rest until any official announcement is made tomorrow after the RFL inquiry?



We don't seem to be going anywhere, except over the same stuff time and again.

Is there any way that this could not be the fault of the club?



What if the club asked the RFL if he was cup-tied and they said 'No'.
