WTF's going on there?



I'm sure you'll turn things round - you don't become a bad team overnight but it appears that confidence is low and Calland will be on borrowed time if results continue.

I doubt very much Calland is running away, its normal for Bally to do these interviews, as he has done several times in the past. The point regarding turning things around though does worry me. The fixture list doesn't exactly look that kind at the minute, with Leigh, Widnes and then potentially a tough game against Dewsbury on Easter Monday coming up. The main gripe at the minute is team selection. Calland needs to decide on a squad of say 19/20 players and stick by these for the next 5/6 games. We cant keep changing 5/6 players each game, and these changes are not exactly just slot in changes if you like e.g. changing a prop & 2nd rower. We're changing SO / SH combo's every game, full back, 13 etc, we need a settled team as of now..

come on fax fans, believe it or not your team are not invincible and will inevitably have their downs, youve experienced the ups in recent seasons. these things happen. you take the rough with the smooth. you havent become jizz over night.

im sure you will come good.

have a look at a book, its called 'The Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy' it says 'DONT PANIC!' on the front, sound advise.

Thats my worry, we have signed too many players because they once played for us but they are past it - Gannon, Holly, Smith and Clayton.

We need a blockbusting prop and soon!

MC is a fine coach - you have lost so many good players you are bound to struggle !

at TO the players just didn't perform,not MCs fault - wish he would come down and coach TO,the guy we have is a joke..

TBH you wouldnt get many Fax fans who would try to stop him. His time in charge has defnatley been love/hate most of the time. Consistantly bad in defence and getting by on Martin Halls ability to sign players, and these players producing individual brilliance to pull us out of the mire a few times. Seem to have no structure or basic gameplan. Attack wise we saw some sheer brilliance but as we see this season was that just down to the ability of the players we had? Played experimaental teams in the NRC last season which saw us not reach the knock out stages but then went on and won us the Grand Final with a stunning comeback.



For me i would rather see a good attacking team than a good defensive team, maybe theirs a happy medium, but i would like MC to be given a shot when we get in SL later this year. With the TV money i would like to see what sort of a team he could put on the field. Like i have said before this seasons recruitment just makes me wonder if he was under some pressure to sign some ex-halifax old boys but unfortunatley as we have seen they either wernt good enough in the first place or are no longer good enough.
