Readers and Copy Holders do check for accuracy of content as well as spelling and grammar, although the Courier hasn't employed either for a number of years. It is now printed at Dinnington, near Sheffield. The Huddersfield Examiner now classes itself as a morning paper as it goes overnight, so no chance of any up-to-date local news in that.

While you mention it, what's the Courier now? Evening? Morning? Dinnertime? Brunch? I've been reading it online for years now but was surprised yesterday to see copies in my corner shop at 8.30 in the morning. |

The photos accompanying the article which I've just read were taken at the Stobart. The seats are black and you can see part of word Vikings made out in the seats. But what on earth are those green stains on the front of the Widnes players' shorts?

Actually, even though it was me starting this thread (which Mr Roberts probably didnt know it was me, sure to get a stern text message now  ) there is a very good reason for this. The deadline for articles and photos for local newspapers (for halifax and york that i know of at least) has been shifted to what would be half time of night time games. My dad (whosgottheball) was the only photographer present at the game last night but we don't have an internet dongle so couldnt email the photos pitchside during the game. We were in communication all day about this with Mr.Roberts and in the end it was decided that they'll stick a stock photo with this match report for now, however expect to see some photos from the Widnes game in the weekly articles
