Very doubtful , we have basically a full squad signed up now with no overseas players despite being allowed 2 next year , a much better idea would be to look to strengthen half way through once the proper season has started , to offer Penky money now would be a total waste

also remember next year in the bottom league, dont Leigh have a reduced salary cap?

But that assumes a current Non Relegation league club goes bust.In my view the RFL can,t afford that to happen.

tossy Parker more like. What nonsense. Contracted players won't leave but for a lot of money. The fact we discuss this gives Parker column inches and contributes to his existence. Lock it before people starting suffering paranoia. It's hard enough being a fax fan!

I think it`s not so much trying to sell papers but more about keeping his column inches .There was a time when he had a big two page spread ,the last time I looked at it around 12 months since it was cut drasticly. I do believe they prefer to sell space to advertising unless he has something big to report.

He also claims to have got correct the bit about 2 players leaving. However i hardly class Wilson and Govin as major departures. One hasnt figured most of the season as not to activate a clause in his contract and the other was a forgone conclsion with the signing of a natural half back.

penky wont be coming to leigh, but i belive had a clause in his new contract to leave for a super league club.... salford or celtic maybe ?????

All player contracts below SL have that contract. They have to. Something to do with not stopping the player from playing at the highest level or playing Full time rather than Part Time.
